About

Hi, I’m the person behind Tansy — a photographer, writer, and full-time noticer of small things. This little corner of the internet is where I keep the images I make and the notes I write while making them.

I started taking pictures the way most people do: badly, and with far too much gear. Over the years I’ve traded the clutter for a single camera, a couple of lenses, and a habit of getting up before the sun. What I’m really chasing isn’t the perfect shot — it’s the quiet attention that comes with looking closely.

What you’ll find here

Field notes from morning walks, honest reflections on slowing down, and the occasional essay about light, film, and why overcast days are underrated. No presets to sell, no ten-step formulas — just the process, as it actually happens.

A little more

When I’m not behind the lens you’ll find me on a slow train somewhere, drinking too much coffee and rereading the same three books. If any of that sounds like your kind of thing, I’m glad you’re here. Stay a while, and feel free to say hello.
